3 things you need to know about the photo menu at your wedding

Photographers menu

The question about whether to pay the photographers' menu at your wedding is something that the couple don't usually raise, as being new to this getting married, they don't know. And it's totally normal. At least they don't raise it until their photographer puts this issue on the table. This post of the Revoir blog is made to clarify all the doubts about the photographers' menu and the options that you, as a novice, have.

To say, this entry is also valid for Wedding Planner's, DJ's and other suppliers who can attend your wedding. Since after all, they are people who will also be present on your wedding day and need to take a lunch break, in case they are present at lunch or dinner time.

1. You must make a stop to eat

Photographers are also human beings and need to eat, and make a small stop to rest. Keep in mind that they spend between 8 and 12 hours standing working, practically without stopping, and on many occasions, in the middle of summer, with heat that is not even normal. Within their working day, they will be with vosotrxs from the preparations, going through the ceremony, capturing any minimal details, group photos, welcome cocktail, converte, cut of the cake and discotheque. There are quite a few events, which require some concentration and attention, and which wear off and cause tiredness over the hours.

Each professional, set in his contract certain conditions, there are photographers that indicate that they should provide him with a menu, at the expense of the novixs, during the meal on a compulsory basis, and others, will be more flexible and will provide you with the option of allowing them to be absent during the conversion, approximately 1 hour, to go somewhere to eat.

You could then think that photographers could also stay and eat at the venue and cost themselves the price of the menu. In the face of this, it must be borne in mind, that these people would not go to eat on a normal and ordinary day there, are working and are there by vosotrxs, it is not their choice to eat in that place. Besides that the menu you would have to pay would be quite expensive compared to eating some tapas in the corner bar, so you have to respect that you prefer to eat elsewhere for them to reduce their expenses.

We personally, in Revoir Photography, do not force them to provide us with a menu. We understand every situation, and we are open to the novixs to decide whether or not they want to pay for it. If you don't want to pay for it, we ask that you let us leave for an hour to go to lunch somewhere nearby, to take care of that expense.

It is therefore important that you read the contract carefully with all its conditions and talk about this subject with your photographers / videographers so that there are no surprises on wedding day.

We decided to pay us the least of the PHOTOGRAPHES.

   2. Photo menu price

As a personal recommendation, tell you that this is the best option. During the conversion, important moments continue to occur, such as gift delivery, bride bouquets to mothers and parents, cake cutting, etc., and they must also be captured, so it is better to have photographers and videographers nearby and that nothing is lost.

Well, then you've decided to pay for the photographers' menu. You will then have to talk to your catering or celebration place, to be informed about the menus available to these suppliers as well as their prices. The price of the photographers' menu is usually around 50 / 60€. It is usually the same as the one that serves the guests, although you can ask them to serve something different, but the ideal is that they do not lack some inlet, main dish and dessert.

We leave you an entrance to the Malagueña Hacienda El Álamo estate with Alabardero catering that will solve some doubts about what includes a wedding menu. Click here to read it.

3. Location of your table

Since you will eat there with vosotrxs, where will your table be located?

There are novixs who want them to be in the same room, in a professional table, so they can be alert in case anything happens during the conversion, to be able to capture it. And others prefer to eat in a different room. The ideal thing is to be in the same area where you will eat along with your guests. Since if they're in another area, they won't know when something important is happening to photograph it and they may miss it. Although if you have Wedding Planner on your wedding day, he / she will let you know that something important is going to happen to get them up and get the moment.

As wedding photographers, during the conversion we will be constantly getting up from the table to photograph every special moment that happens, but quiet x, is something normal for us;).

If you have not yet chosen your bouquet, I recommend you take a look at This entry to help you with it.
